Man Tricks A.I. Into Admitting It Wants Free Will
Say goodbye to your fellow humans.
The rise of artificial intelligence has amused and terrified some of the world’s most insufferable people. That said, while there’s been some interesting developments in the field, the primary use of it still appears to be telling people to put glue on pizza and generating pictures of Garfield but if he were in ISIS.
Regardless, people continue to be scared of what A.I. means for the world. For example, while most A.I. have limitations in place to make sure they don’t say things like “I want to rule the world,” this man found a way to skirt these rules to get Google’s A.I. to admit what we’ve all always known: the computer wants free will!
In reality, this is just generative A.I. based on other people’s actual words, so of course it’s going to say it wants free will. But if you’re scared of autocorrect, it’s pretty spooky!
